Upgrade your milkshake routine with this Strawberry Shortcake Milkshake. Thick and creamy, made with fresh strawberries and tender vanilla cake—it’s the ideal summer treat.
Summer is in full swing: warm afternoons, patio evenings, beach trips and backyard barbecues. The season is a perfect excuse for cold, indulgent treats—especially anything involving ice cream.
Ice cream in sundaes, pies and shakes is my favorite way to cool down—refreshing, simple, and delicious.

After making a Blueberry Cheesecake Milkshake recently, I kept imagining other cake-and-ice-cream combinations. When I tasted a moist vanilla pound cake, it clicked—why not combine cake and milkshake into one luscious drink?
This Strawberry Shortcake Milkshake captures exactly that idea: creamy vanilla ice cream, juicy fresh strawberries, and vanilla cake blended into a decadent, spoonable shake.

Cold ice cream, sweet strawberries, and tender vanilla cake come together to make a milkshake that tastes like summer on a spoon. Once you try this, a plain milkshake might feel a little underdressed.
For the best flavor, use high-quality vanilla ice cream and ripe, fresh strawberries—this combination evokes the classic strawberry shortcake experience. A slice of pound cake blends in beautifully, adding cake flavor and body to the shake.

Everything goes into the blender and in about five minutes you’ll have a rich, refreshing strawberry shortcake milkshake. Top with whipped cream and an extra piece of pound cake if you like—totally optional but highly recommended.
