This Skinny Mocha Smoothie is a delicious way to get your caffeine fix. Dairy-free, vegan-friendly, and free of refined sugars — skip the coffee shop and enjoy this guilt-free mocha at home!
Lately my jeans have felt a little tight, and I couldn’t blame the holidays or a busy schedule. The culprit? Zero willpower. Time for a healthy change — but because I live for treats, this one had to be chocolatey.
Enter the Skinny Mocha Smoothie.
Thick, creamy, and chocolatey with a caffeine kick, it tastes like a costly iced mocha from a café but without the sugar rush, whipped cream, or expense. It’s naturally sweetened with banana and honey (or agave for a vegan option), made with unsweetened almond milk to keep it light and lactose-free, and thickened with a frozen banana plus a couple of ice cubes. A tablespoon of cocoa powder adds real chocolate flavor.
For the coffee component I used instant coffee powder — about one packet or enough to make an 8 oz (240 mL) cup. The smoothie has a pronounced coffee flavor; if you prefer it milder, reduce the instant coffee by half.
Whether you want a healthier option, a quick caffeine boost without a café run, or simply a tasty drink, this Skinny Mocha Smoothie delivers.
