This maple walnut fudge is extra creamy with the perfect maple flavor. It’s made with only four ingredients — super easy and completely failproof. Perfect for the holidays and makes a lovely homemade gift!
When it comes to homemade candy, maple walnut fudge is hard to beat. It’s rich, creamy and the walnuts add a satisfying nutty contrast to the sweet maple flavor. This version is the simplest you’ll find — no candy thermometer, no temperamental sugar stages, just dependable results every time.
I usually make many recipes from scratch, but for candy like fudge, shortcuts can be smart. Traditional fudge can be tricky and frustrating if you’re managing sugar temperatures. This easy maple walnut fudge eliminates that stress — it’s straightforward, forgiving, and ideal for cooks of all skill levels.
How to Make Maple Walnut Fudge
This recipe calls for just four ingredients: white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, maple extract and chopped walnuts. Start by melting the white chocolate with the sweetened condensed milk until smooth, then stir in the maple extract and walnuts. Press the mixture into a lined 8×8 or 9×9 inch pan and let it set until firm.
Easy peasy.
You can melt the chocolate mixture either on the stovetop using a double boiler or in the microwave.
Stovetop method: Set a large heatproof bowl over a saucepan with about 1/2 inch of simmering water, making sure the water does not touch the bowl. Add the white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk to the bowl, and warm over low heat, stirring occasionally until melted and smooth.
Microwave method: Place the white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk in a heatproof bowl. Microwave on medium power for 45-second bursts, stirring between each burst. When the chocolate is nearly melted, remove and stir until fully smooth.
I recommend 2 teaspoons of maple extract for a balanced maple taste. You can adjust to suit your preference, but avoid exceeding about 1 tablespoon (3 teaspoons) as excessive extract may affect the fudge’s texture and setting.

This maple walnut fudge is creamy, delicious and ideal for holiday platters, cookie exchanges or as a thoughtful homemade gift. It’s quick to prepare, stores well, and always gets rave reviews.
