What You Will Need
To make this super easy no-bake strawberry chocolate pie, gather these ingredients!
For the crust:
- Diamond of California® Chocolate Nut Crust. Made with walnuts, pecans, and real cocoa, this crust is now one of my favorites! It is buttery, holds together better than other store-bought crusts, and pairs beautifully with the strawberry filling.
For the ganache layer:
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. Choosing good quality chocolate makes a real difference here!
- Heavy Whipping Cream. You only need a small amount to give the ganache its silky texture.
- Vanilla Extract. It rounds out all the other flavors perfectly. Pure vanilla is the best choice.
For the strawberry filling:
- Unflavored Gelatin Powder + Water. You will need one packet of unflavored gelatin, 2 tablespoons of cold water, and 2 tablespoons of hot, boiling water. Together they help thicken and set the strawberry filling.
- Cream Cheese. Only 1, 8 ounce block is needed, and it must be full fat, not low fat.
- Lucky Leaf® Strawberry Pie Filling. This is the star of the recipe! It contains 30% more fruit than other fruit pie fillings and no high fructose corn syrup. Use 2/3 cup in the filling and save the rest for topping!
- Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk. It has no artificial ingredients and adds just the right amount of creaminess and sweetness to the strawberry filling.
- Lemon Juice. It helps thicken this easy no-bake strawberry chocolate pie.
- Vanilla Extract. Same as above!
For the garnish:
- Strawberry Pie Filling. Use whatever is left over from the amount you measured out for the filling!
- Whipped Cream. A thawed tub of whipped topping works just as well!
- Chocolate Curls. Buy them ready-made or make your own with my easy chocolate curls tutorial!

Ingredient Swaps
Pie Filling. Lucky Leaf® cherry pie filling works in place of the strawberry, or pick any flavor you like!
Chocolate Chips. Milk chocolate works in place of semi-sweet, or you can use a good quality chocolate bar.
If you use a chocolate bar, chop it into small pieces before pouring the hot heavy whipping cream over it.
You can also leave out the chocolate ganache layer entirely.
Pie Crusts. Another simple swap for this no-bake strawberry chocolate pie: try Diamond of California® Pecan Pie Crust or their Walnut Pie Crust instead.

Let's Put It Together!
Here is a condensed walk-through of how to make this super easy no-bake strawberry chocolate pie. Scroll down for the full recipe!
Make the Chocolate Ganache. A small heatproof glass bowl works best for this step. Good quality chocolate, whether chips or a bar, makes all the difference.
Microwave the heavy whipping cream in another heatproof bowl or measuring cup for One minute, 15 seconds. Pour it over the chocolate, cover loosely with aluminum foil, and let it rest for 2-3 minutes. Then whisk slowly until smooth.
If it needs reheating, heat it for only 15 seconds, then whisk again.
Spread the ganache into the crust. Use a spatula to coat the sides and bottom of the Diamond of California® chocolate nut pie crust evenly. Then chill it in the freezer for 15-30 minutes until set.
By the time I finish mixing the strawberry filling, it is ready to go!
Prepare the unflavored gelatin. A glass, heatproof measuring cup works well here. Add 2 tablespoons of cold water to it, then whisk in the gelatin powder.
Let it rest for 1-2 minutes, then stir in the 2 tablespoons of boiling hot water. Microwave at full power for 15-20 seconds. The gelatin should be fully dissolved by now. If it isn't, microwave for another 15 seconds on high until it is.
Set it aside to cool while you make the strawberry filling.

Make the strawberry pie filling. A stand mixer or hand mixer both work. I found the hand mixer easier, and it was quicker to clean.
Beat the cream cheese first for about 5-6 minutes until light and fluffy. Be sure to use softened, full fat cream cheese.
Add the Eagle Brand® sweetened condensed milk, 2/3 cup of the Lucky Leaf® strawberry pie filling, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and the gelatin mixture. Mix everything until well combined.
Chill the strawberry chocolate pie. Refrigerate it for 6 hours or, my favorite option, overnight so it has time to set. You can leave it uncovered while it chills.
Garnish. Spoon the remaining strawberry filling over the top, then add whipped cream (or thawed whipped topping) and chocolate curls.

Common Questions About No-Bake Pie
Can I leave the gelatin out?I wouldn't advise it. Without gelatin, the pie won't set and you'll end up with a runny mess.
What other pie filling flavors can I use with this recipe? For a chocolate-covered cherry flavor, try it with Lucky Leaf® cherry pie filling!
Do I have to include the chocolate ganache layer?Nope! The ganache layer is optional and can be skipped easily.
Why do you recommend using only full fat cream cheese?Full fat cream cheese blends better with the other ingredients here. It also helps the pie firm up while it chills.
Why is there no granulated sugar used in this recipe?Using strawberry pie filling and sweetened condensed milk gives this filling just the right sweetness.
What is the best way to store the remaining strawberry pie filling?I suggest storing the leftover filling in a sealed container in the refrigerator until you need it for topping.
